Steam Soul meets the Living by Reaperrr1 Steam Soul meets the Living by Reaperrr1

This was an entry work for a facebook group called blender and the challange was about what you can do with the default scene and the default cube and this is what I got and I think I could give it a concept by making the newborn steampunk spider (who I'm searching a name for at the moment) meets a living creature with its fullest of curriosity and instead of what a real spider would do to the small creature rhe artificial one is seeking to explore things.

You can see an other angle of him here

OMG Thank you for the DD!

Very nice work! The materials look very realistic. And pretty careful with the little beetles. :) (Smile)

Kind of reminds me of a Dwemer Spider from the game Skyim. But dang, I thought this was real until I read the description (I still can't believe you made this in Blender.) And I had to look at it for a bit before I saw the actual cube. Very, VERY amazing work! Definitely deserves Daily Deviation.

Hmm how did you get the ideas for names and what is inside S-1712 and C-4S? I like Burkins but I think in personality a feminin name would fit the most her :D

An interesting concept of a totally mechanic being meeting a smaller, more organic life form and be fascinated by it. Though, it would be even more grand of the image showed an actual arachnid to meet its larger mechanic being. Alas, life cannot always give us what we want.

Well it has some irrationalities ni its cogs so it cant move yet but I'll rationalise it if I modify it for an animation

I used both cycles for the most parts and internal for the volumetric effects (steam)
